China-based online interior decoration marketplace To8to has closed a $200m series C round featuring e-commerce company 58.com, according to China Money Network.
58.com said in a separate statement that it invested $34m in the round, which also included venture capital firms Sequoia Capital and Matrix Partners.
Founded in 2008, To8To provides an online marketplace that connects homeowners with interior designers and construction material suppliers. The company also provides construction supervision services and escrow funding.
To8to’s services will be integrated into 58.com’s platform in conjunction with the funding.
Matrix provided To8to’s series A funding in 2011 before participating in a $16.5m series B round led by Sequoia in February 2014.
Michael Jinbo Yao, chairman and CEO of 58.com, said: “Interior design is a massive and rapidly growing business in China. With extensive experience in this category, To8to is the ideal partner for 58.com to collaborate with as we seek new ways to deepen and expand our online-to-offline business model.”
