Michael Blaustein, managing director of corporate venturing unit DuPont Ventures, is set to retire at the end of the current quarter.
DuPont Ventures is the corporate venturing vehicle for US-based chemicals company DuPont. It targets startups operating in a range of fields, including cleantech, construction technology, agriculture and advanced materials.
Blaustein had been MD of DuPont Ventures since 2006, having taken on a variety of roles during his time at the firm. He acted as director of its University Intellectual Property Program between 2004 and 2008, and has been its operations director for corporate science and technology since 2009.
Tyler Ames, a strategic planning manager at DuPont, will henceforth be leading a team that will over see corporate venturing together with other collaborative innovation activities.
