China-based healthy food supplier and lifestyle service Boohee has completed a series C round of undisclosed size featuring diversified conglomerate Fosun International, Deal Street Asia has reported.
Qualcomm Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of semiconductor technology producer Qualcomm, also participated, as did venture capital firms DCM Ventures and Morningside Venture Capital, and ZeroIPO Capital, the VC arm of investment group Zero2IPO.
Founded in 2008, Boohee offers food products to Chinese consumers that are intended to be healthy and affordable.
The offering includes three brands – Easy Fun, Easy Ace and Easy Fan – in addition to weight loss programs, a food nutrition database and a presence on local messaging app WeChat.
Boohee previously closed an eight-figure dollar series B round in 2014 featuring Qualcomm and quantitative trading and technology firm Susquehanna International Group along with DCM Ventures.
Morningside Ventures had already invested a seven-digit dollar series A sum in 2011.
