Brickstream locates CAA-backed Nomi for acquisition

US-based location analytics company Nomi has been acquired by store analytics firm Brickstream for an undisclosed amount, providing an exit to CAA Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of talent agency Creative Artists Agency.

Nomi is the creator of a proximity marketing platform that measures the number of visitors each marketing campaign generates so that stores can determine how they can convert browsers into buyers.

Following the acquisition, Nomi and Brickstream will become an integrated platform that will allow stores to analyse and optimise the in-store experience they provide for their customers.

Nomi, which was founded in 2012, raised $10m in a series A round in October 2013 from Greycroft Partners, Forerunner Ventures, Accel Partners and First Round Capital.

CAA took part in the company’s seed round in Feburary 2013, alongside SV Angel, Forerunner, Greycroft, Red Swan Investors and assorted angel investors.
