Simon Clark has retired from his position as managing partner at Fidelity Growth Partners Europe (FGPE), a venture capital subsidiary of financial services firm Fidelity Investments.
Clark joined FGPE in 1999 after a stint at financial media site TheStreet, where he acted as chief financial officer. He was also the chairman of the British Venture Capital Association, the trade body for the UK’s VC and private equity industry, for just under a year until April 2014.
In future, Clark plans to pursue projects relating to policy and academia, and to assist high-growth companies. Davor Hebel, a partner at FGPE since 2005, will take over from Clark as managing partner of the unit.
