Endogastric swallows down $13m

Foundation Medical Partners, a venture firm backed by US-based healthcare company Cleveland Clinic, has helped EndoGastric, a US-based healthcare company which treats chronic acid reflux, raise $13m.

Foundation was joined in the series F extension round on June 21 by venture firms Advanced Technology Ventures, Canaan Partners, Chicago Growth Partners, De Novo Ventures, Oakwood Medical Investors and Radius Ventures.

Endogastric has raised approximately $138.5m in its history, based on Global Corporate Venturing analysis of its prior round. EndoGastric originally raised $30m in its series F round in 2010. In 2007 EndoGastric raised a $30m series D round, which was also backed by MPM Capital.

In 2009 Endogastric raised $14.7m and $9.5m of a planned $11.8m round, according to two filings with US regulator the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In 2006 EndoGastric raised a $32m C round. In 2004 EndoGastric raised $12m in series B funding, while in 2003 it raised $5m in series A funding, both according to news provider Xconomy.
