Gild adorns itself with $13.5m series B

Gild, a US-based technology staffing service, closed $13.5m in series B financing yesterday in a round backed by investors including SAP Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of enterprise software company SAP.

The round was led by venture capital firm Menlo Ventures, and also featured Draper Nexus Ventures, Globespan Capital Partners, Correlation Ventures, and private investors Steve Anderson and Mark Kvamme.

Founded in California in 2011, Gild uses big data analysis to help technology companies recruit the most suitable staff based on their work and skills rather than their resumes.

Gild has now raised $27m in total, including an $8m series A round in which SAP Ventures invested alongside Baseline, Globespan, Correlation and Kvamme.
