US-based chipmaker Intel’s corporate venturing unit has helped digital marketing platform BrightEdge raise $12.6m.
California-based BrightEdge added it was opening offices in New York and London.
Intel Capital was joined in the series C round by venture firms Battery Ventures, Altos Ventures and Illuminate Ventures.
Lisa Lambert, managing director of the software and services sector at Intel Capital, said: "With consumer and business audiences competing for customers in search and social, BrightEdge’s platform is an elegant and effective solution that makes it possible to manage and optimize the process for companies that rely on the Internet to acquire users. Their big-data technology, experienced cloud and software as a service leadership team and commercial success to date position them to be one of the core platforms for companies that rely on digital channels."
The company raised a $6.5m series B round in 2010. It is unclear what its series A round raised.
