O’Reilly Alpha Tech Ventures (OATV), the corporate venturing unit of US-based media group O’Reilly, has invested in the seed consortium for Bloom Studio, a local data applications developer.
Alongside OATV were angel networks Launch Capital, Betaworks and SV Angel and Stewart Butterfield.
Bryce Roberts General Partner OATV, joined Bloom’s board and said: "While others busy themselves shoehorning web content into these new form factors, Bloom is actively inventing the data models, visualization metaphors and gesture interactions that will define the post-PC [personal computer] era."
