Qualcomm and SingTel-backed Tempo ups funding

Tempo AI, a US-based company which produces the Tempo Smart Calendar app, has raised $10m series A investment led by venture capital firms Relay Ventures and Sierra Ventures with the continued participation of its seed investors, including Qualcomm Ventures, the investment arm of US-based semiconductor company Qualcomm, and SingTel Innov8, the corporate venturing subsidiary of communications company SingTel Group.

Other investors include Stanford University research spinoff SRI International, venture capital firms Mayfield Fund, Horizon Ventures, Mirimar Venture Partners, Golden Venture Partners, Seavest Capital Partners and ENIAC Ventures, as well as angel investors Gaurav Garg and Peter Wagner.

Raj Singh, chief executive officer of Tempo AI, said: “We’re on a mission to help people get more done by building a mobile assistant in the calendar that delights users with AI, picking up where Siri left off as the next evolution of assistants.”

Kevin Talbot, co-founder and managing partner at Relay Ventures, said: “What got us excited is that the calendar is just the beginning. Tempo is the perfect platform to connect all of the disparate content we have buried in our phones, infer intent and ultimately help us ‘do’ more.”
