US-based workplace communication platform developer RedKix launched its service in beta yesterday and revealed it has raised $17m in funding from investors including enterprise software provider Salesforce.com.
Other RedKix backers include venture capital firms Wicklow Capital and SG VC, and several angel investors from the enterprise software industry. Salesforce invested through Salesforce Ventures, its corporate venturing subsidiary.
RedKix is developing a workplace communication and collaboration platform that adds features like grouped message organisation, and real-time and group messaging to existing email accounts.
The technology is operating in closed beta, and the company is accepting requests for invitations, though co-founder and CEO Oudi Antebi told TechCrunch it plans to transition to open beta in autumn.
