SAP Asia, a local subsidiary of enterprise software producer SAP, has helped to launch a two-year S$10m ($7.4m) accelerator programme in Singapore, Digital News Asia has reported.
The SAP Startup Focus Acceleration Program was co-launched with the Singaporean government’s Infocomm Development Authority and investment firm August Capital Partners last week.
Startups working on smart cities technology covering big data, predictive analytics or real-time data technology will be considered for the initiative.
Apart from funding, startups will also be able to access mentorship from SAP executives, entrepreneurs, investors and local business leaders, as well as hardware and software to support the development of proof-of-concept and pilot projects.
