Simppler, a US-based talent matchmaking software developer backed by enterprise software provider Workday, has been acquired by recruitment platform operator Teamable for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2013, Simppler offers an employee referral platform that deploys data science and machine learning to match recruiting employers with the best-suited candidates. The tool depends on endorsements from employees of others in their social, professional and academic networks.
Teamable also offers employee referral-based recruitment based on an automatic scan of social media contacts, prior experience and other variables such as a client’s performance on diversity. The company also announced it has raised $10m from Foundation Capital, True Ventures and SaaStr Fund.
Simppler had received an undisclosed amount in 2016 from Workday’s strategic investment arm, Workday Ventures, according to Enterprise Times. It had already raised $1.2m in seed capital the previous year from Greylock Partners, Correlation Ventures and zParks Capital.
