AdverCar, a US-based out-of-home media company connecting advertisers with drivers, has raised $2m in its seed round from a consortium including retailer 1-800-Flowers.
Venture capital firm Canaan Partners led the round and was joined by peer Branford Castle Private Equity, state-backed New Orleans Startup Fund and investment club TiE Angels Boston, including angel investor Jit Saxena.
AdverCar’s board includes Jim McCann, chief executive of 1-800-Flowers.
