US-based patient monitoring technology developer 100Plus, which counts insurance providers Scor and Transamerica as investors, disclosed $25m in seed funding from angel investors including Henry Kravis and George Roberts yesterday.
Formerly known as iBeat before rebranding in late 2019, 100Plus has built a remote patient monitoring system that makes use of artificial intelligence to inform care decisions by physicians.
Scor and Transamerica provided $2.5m for the company through subsidiaries Scor Life & Health Ventures and Transamerica Ventures in 2018 to boost a round also described as a seed round to $12.5m.
Kairos, 8VC, City Light Capital, Plug and Play Ventures, ChinaRock Capital Management and individuals including Tony Robbins, Josh Kazam, Shlomo Ben-Haim, Fred St Goar and Uma Valeti had supplied $5.5m earlier the same year.
Maveron, Subtraction Capital and Correlation Ventures co-led the $1.5m first tranche in 2016 before WTI, SV Tech Ventures, Lee Equity, existing backer Band of Angels and various angel investors added $3m the following year.
