China-based fresh produce delivery service 1Mxian has closed $15m in pre-series B funding from web game producer Beijing Kunlun Technology, China Money Network reported today.
Kunlun has received a 15% stake in 1Mxian in return for its investment, valuing the company at $100m. 1Mxian has not revealed details concerning previous funding rounds.
Founded in November 2014, 1Mxian operates a smartphone app that enables users to order fresh groceries for delivery. The service currently covers 11 cities across China.
The company’s rivals in China’s online grocery and produce delivery sector include Fruitday, which raised $70m in a round led by e-commerce form JD.com in May this year, and Womai.com, which secured $200m in October.
