Matteo Gatta took over as vice-president of group strategy at Belgium-based telecoms company Belgacom last year, leaving him overseeing the group’s corporate venturing investments.
He came to the role after heading Scarlet, an acquisition of Belgacom, as chief executive from 2008 to 2010.
He previously worked in strategy and planning and as head of marketing at the telecoms company.
Gatta has also worked for GTS Telecom and Telecom Italia. He studied electronic engineering at the Università degli Studi di Pavia.
