As head of corporate development at GE Capital, the financial services unit of US-listed industrial conglomerate General Electric, Sherwood Dodge has been looking after corporate development and equity investment for the past three years.
Between 2005 to 2008, he worked in energy, transportation and funds at GE Equity. Before this he worked in GE Equity Europe between 1999 and 2005, and at GE Capital Thailand from 1995 to 1998. In a recent lecture at Terry College of Business, Dodge was said to speak Thai with a good accent, according to his host.
He worked in GE Capital’s corporate finance group from 1989 to 1994. Before this he was vice-president of US-based bank Chemical Bank from 1983 to 1988. He studied political science at Denison University and was educated at the International School of Bangkok.
