Tomoya Hemmi is chief executive of Docomo Capital, the corporate venturing unit of Japan-based mobile communication company NTT Docomo.
The group was started in 2005, is based in Silicon Valley, California, and has $100m of capital. Docomo Capital looks to invest in venture-backed start-ups in the middle or later stages of their product development.
It focuses on mobile network technologies, application services and devices for mobile handsets, security, and environmentally friendly technologies.
