PTC India eyes fund
PTC India, a provider of power trading solutions in the country, has reportedly agreed to set up a private equity fund with an unnamed sovereign wealth fund, according to the chairman of the state-run power trading company.
Cowen sets up second fund
Cowen Royalty will target investments between $20m and $100 in US, Europe and Asian passive royalties, synthetic royalties and structured financings.
Alibaba backs others
Potential partners include Meituan.com, Manzuo.com and Gaopeng.com and Alibaba said it would work with venture capital funds to provide RMB1.2bn ($200m) in loans to small vendors that sell their products through the platform.
EBRD sets up $130m fund
The fund will invest in 10 to 20 companies over four years.

S&N will retain 49% of a company that in 2010 effectively made a trading profit of $44m on sales of $233m.
MindSpeed accelerates growth with PicoChip purchase
PicoChip, a semiconductor technology firm backed by Intel, AT&T and Samsung, has been acquired by semiconductor corporation Mindspeed Technologies for more than $50m.
