Dena finds its Creww
Japan-based gaming group Dena’s corporate venturing unit, Incubate Fund, has invested Y30.1m ($30,000) in Creww, a local service supporting entrepreneurs.
Partners buys Samsung’s Panax Etec stake
Partners Venture Capital has reportedly invested Krw10bn ($9m) to buy 10% of South Korean electrolyte producer Panax Etec from two venture investors. Samsung Venture Investment Company, the corporate venturing unit of the eponymous local conglomerate, sold its shares ahead of Panax’s expected flotation later this year.
Feelux lights up for Lumens
Lumens, a South Korea- listed maker of light-emitting diodes, has bought 6.9% of Feelux, the listed South Korean lighting parts maker with a market capitalisation of Krw40bn ($36m).
Aster blows $5.2m into SolarFuel
Venture capital firm Aster Capital, which is sponsored by Schneider, Alstom and Solvay, has invested $5.2m in clean-energy company SolarFuel.
Novo Nordisk continues Affimed support
Germany-based biotech Affimed Therapeutics has closed it’s Series D round, led by return backers Novo Nordisk, at $20m.
Lifelock raises $141.3m
Shareholders in Lifelock include American global computer security software corporation Symantec Corp (8.2%) and investment banking firm Goldman Sachs (10.9%) as well as venture firms Bessemer Venture Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Industry Ventures.
