Motorola Solutions Venture Capital, the corporate venturing unit of Motorola Solutions, has invested an undisclosed amount of funding into US-based shopper merchandise planning company Revionics. Prior to this round, the company had raised $18.2m, according to CrunchBase.
Lemoptix on Swisscom radar
Swisscom Ventures, the corporate venturing unit of Swisscom, has invested an undisclosed amount of capital into Swiss company Lemoptix. Lemoptix, a 2008 Swiss Federal Institute of Technology spin-off, has developed technology that embeds micro-projectors in devices such as mobile phones, automotive baking sensors and wearable displays.

VivaKi, the corporate venturing unit of French communications company Publicis Groupe, has invested in a $15m series C round of funding for PlaceIQ. The deal was led by new investors Harmony Partners and Iris Capital, fund manager for Orange and Publicis since 2012. PlaceIQ will leverage the latest round of funding to expand the business and pursue additional growth opportunities.
JAIC, Nippon treat Regimmune to $9.2m series D
Japan Asia Investment Corporation (JAIC) and Nippon Venture Capital Corp (NVCC) have led a $9.2m series D round of funding for Regimmune, a Japanese biotechnology company focused on the discovery, development and commercialisation of immune regulatory therapeutics to treat life-threatening and debilitating conditions, including allergies, auto-immune diseases and transplantation.
Kaltura captures $47m
Kaltura, a US-based open source video platform, has raised $47m in a series E round led by SAP Ventures, the corporate venturing unit of software company SAP and Nokia Growth Partners, Commonfund Capital, and Gera Ventures. Others that took part in the latest round include .406 Ventures, Nexus Venture Partners, Intel Capital, Mitsui & Co. Global Investment and Silicon Valley Bank. The company has raised $115m to date.

Digital Garage strategically parks $7.5m into betaworks
Japan internet services company and incubator, Digital Garage, has contributed an additional $7.5m in a $10m round to US start-up investor and product launch company, betaworks. The latest funding is part of a larger $20m funding round that was announced in December 2013. Since 2008 the company has raised a reported $47.5m.
