Cyber-security fears to fuel booming valuations
The cyber security sector’s success has not been lost on corporate venturing units. Intel Capital, the corporate venturing unit of the chipmaker, has been the most active investment group for exits in the sector, according to data provider CB Insights, while Google Ventures invested in two cyber deals last month.
Novartis buys JJDC-backed Costim
The deal also marks the first exit for the $35m Partners Innovation Fund, a corporate and academic research venturing unit of Partners HealthCare System, a US-based hospital and physicians group covering Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, and McLean Hospital.
