Chiba Dojo kicks off new fund

The entrepreneur community has secured $23m for its Chiba Dojo Fund from investors including DeNA, Mizuho Bank and Mixi, which has set a $46m target for its final close.

Optum acquires Vivify Health

UnitedHealth Group’s Optum division has reportedly acquired US-based patient-monitoring start-up Vivify Health. In March 2016, healthcare provider and insurer UPMC led a $17m series B round for US-based cloud healthcare company Vivify Health as part of a strategic agreement.
