US-based advertising company Wieden + Kennedy has helped Cloudability, a cloud cost monitoring company, raise $8.7m.
Wieden + Kennedy was joined in the series A round by venture firm Foundry Group, which led the round, as well as venture firms 500 Startups and Trinity Ventures.
Jason Mendelson, managing director for Foundry Group, and Jason Seats, managing director of TechStars Cloud and the founder of Slicehost, have joined Cloudability’s board.
Since launching last year, Cloudability has grown to more than 15 employees and tracks more than $123m in cloud spend for more than 3000 customers, in more than
80 countries.
Cloudability is one of the first companies from the Portland Incubator Experiment, backed by Wieden + Kennedy, to receive later stage venture financing.
