US-based technology company Cisco has helped Mashery, a US-based provider of application programming interface [API] management services, raise a $10m round.
Cisco was joined in the round on July 23 by venture firm OpenView Venture Partners, which led the round, as well as venture firms Formative Ventures, First Round Capital and 406 Ventures.
Mashery’s Software as a service API Management platform has grown 272% in traffic year-over-year, its network of developers grew more than 30% in the past year, to 160,000 members, while the number of live applications built on Mashery software rose more than 75 percent year-over-year to 50,000.
In 2011 Mashery raised an $11m series D round led by OpenView Venture Partners, with backing from Cisco, Formative Ventures, First Round Capital and 406 Ventures.
In 2010 Mashery raised $5.5m in series C funding led by Cisco, as well as Formative Ventures, First Round Capital and 406 Ventures.
Mashery’s B round raised $7m in 2008, while it’s A round raised $1.2m in 2007. The company also raised seed funding in 2007, with backing from angels Roger Ehrenberg, Jeff Stewart, Dave McClure, and Jeff Clavier, all according to data provider BuzzSparks.org. Mashery was founded in 2006.
