Investment bank Morgan Stanley has selected nine startups for the fourth batch of its Multicultural Innovation Lab accelerator, which is tailored to women founders and entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds.
Formed in 2016, Multicultural Innovation Lab backs companies in the post-seed to series B stage on a sector-agnostic basis, helping to drive innovation by women and people of colour.
Multicultural Innovation Lab has had 32 participants to date and looks to accelerate growth through access to its content, contacts and technical support. The fourth cohort began in March 2020 but has moved to a digital format in response to the Covid-19 crisis.
The participants include data quality software provider BaseCap Analytics, culture-sensitive healthcare provider Henry Health, non-emergency medical transport marketplace MedHaul and Adapdix, developer of a predictive equipment maintenance platform.
Instant food supplier Noodie Foods, virtual diversity and inclusion training business Praxis Labs, enterprise wellness rewards scheme SoHookd, televeterinary care service TeleTails and protective coating designer Windpact made up the batch.
