App Annie, a China-based analytics service for mobile device applications, has raised $6m in its series B round from a consortium including local publisher International Data Group’s corporate venturing unit.
Alongside IDG Capital Partners in the round are venture capital firms Greycroft Partners, E.Ventures (spun off from Germany-based publisher Bertelsmann), Infinity Venture Partners, Kii Capital and angel investor Jarl Mohan.
The Bejing-based analytics provider intends to use the investment to accelerate its product roadmap and to expand its product into new app stores worldwide.
In July last year, IDG Capital Partners invested an undisclosed amount in App Annie’s A round as the sole investor.
Annie’s clients include Electronics Arts, Google, Zynga, Vodafone, Sega and Big Fish Games.
