Bespin reels in series C funding

South Korea-based cloud computing services provider Bespin Global has raised more than RMB530m ($74.5m) in a series C round backed by telecommunications firm SK Telecom, China Money Network reported today.

Existing Bespin investors also took part in the round, though only investment firm DY Holdings was named.

Bespin offers a range of end-to-end cloud computing services to help customers drive digital transformation, in areas such as migration, machine learning, cybersecurity and governance, and supports cloud services such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services.

The series C funding will enable Bespin to double down on its activities in China and accelerate its international expansion efforts. It had previously collected ₩87bn ($76.2m) in a series B round led by DY Holdings in October 2018.

The company secured $27m in February 2018 from Legend Capital, the venture capital formed by conglomerate Legend Holdings, as well as ST Telemedia, a subsidiary of Singaporean state-owned investment firm Temasek, and undisclosed other investors.

Legend Capital had already led Bespin’s $15m series A round the previous year, participating together with IT services provider Hyosung ITX, fund manager Premier Partners and early-stage technology investment firm Altos Ventures.
