Israel-based website cybersecurity platform developer Source Defense raised $10.5m in series A-plus funding yesterday from investors including Capital One Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of credit card provider Capital One.
The corporate was joined by investment and advisory firm NightDragon Security and venture capital firms Global Brain, Jerusalem Venture Partners (VJP) and Allegis Cyber.
Source Defense has built a cybersecurity software platform that protects third-party web programming scripts like JavaScript from exploits used to hijack computers by accessing web services such as e-commerce. The funding will go to expanding its operations.
The company’s had closed a series A round of undisclosed size in September 2018 that lifted its total funding to $10m, attracting state-owned Connecticut Innovations as well as Allegis Cyber, Global Brain and existing investor JVP.
