Journera books in series B funding

US-based travel data exchange platform Journera secured $11.6m in series B funding yesterday from investors including consulting firm Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

Venture capital firms Andreessen Horowitz and B Capital co-led the round, which also featured Pritzker Group Venture Capital. The same four investors had provided $9m in series A funding for the company in mid-2018.

Journera is the creator of a cloud-based software platform that tracks traveller activity in detail, enabling app developers and travel service providers to provide a unified offering.

The series B cash will support sales and marketing, software development and further commercialisation of Journera’s core platform and the addition of features such as recovery analytics.

BCG had originally joined airline operators United Airlines and American Airlines, and hotel chains Hilton, InterContinental Hotels Group, Marriott International and Hyatt Hotels Corporation to supply an undisclosed amount of funding for the company at the time of its 2016 launch.
