AtTask works on $17m

AtTask, a US-based work management software provider, has raised $17m from a consortium including University Venture Fund, which trains graduate and undergraduate students from the University of Utah (where the portfolio company is based), Brigham Young University and Westminster College in Salt Lake City.

Venture capital (VC) firm Greenspring Associates led the AtTask consortium, which included peer Escalate Capital and angel investor Josh James, the co-founder and former chief executive of advertising group Omniture sold to software provider Adobe for $1.8bn.

In June 2007, AtTask raised $7m in its series A round from VC firm OpenView Venture Partners.

AtTask customers include Global 2000 brands, such as Nike, Cisco, ABC, ESPN, 3M and Trek.
