Showmac Tech, a China-based communication service for devices and service providers backed by manufacturer Xiaomi, has raised almost RMB100m ($15m) in its series A+ round.
Venture capital firm Addor Capital, with participation from VC peers GGV Capital and Hongtai Aplus.
Xiaomi had invested in Showmac’s angel round in 2017 as part of a pilot.
Showmac welds the subscriber identity module integrated chip during assembly and so enables different network operators to communicate with the device rather than using wifi or needing removable SIM cards.
