Thorsten Peisl, vice-president of product innovation at US-based financial services provider State Street, has spent nearly three years developing a corporate venture capital discipline with the strategic objective to introduce innovative financial services for the buy-side community.
He said he looks for “start-ups with a healthy disregard for traditional practices [which in turn] get access to capital, expertise, a trusted brand and a global institutional client base”.
Previously, Peisl spent seven years as a project manager developing profitable product innovation at State Street Global Services, such as the concept of collateral management as service to mitigate any form of counterparty risk, and as an analyst at Deutsche Bank.
