RTP Ventures, a $120m US venture fund affiliated to Russia-based IT investment conglomerate Ru-Net, has backed two deals in healthcare and information technology.
RTP was part of a consortium investing $5.25m in MabVax Therapeutics, a local biotechnology company’s, series B round. The other investors in the round were US-based clinical testing company Numoda’s Capital Innovations corporate venturing unit and merchant bank Burrill’s Capital Fund IV.
In February 2008, MabVax raised $8m in it’s A round from private equity firm GBP Capital.
RTP and venture capital firms Index Ventures, IA Ventures, Amplify Partners, Contour Ventures and NYCSeed also invested $6.2m in Datadog’s A round.
Murat Bicer, managing director at RTP Ventures since he joined in March, said: “We see Datadog setting the standard for infrastructure monitoring in the cloud age: they aggregate tens of billions of records a day from dozens of sources for their largest customers, yet present it in a simple interactive package.”
