Netherlands-based e-commerce fulfilment service SendCloud has completed a €12.6m ($14.9m) series B round led by Axa Venture Partners, the VC fund backed by insurer Axa, Business Leader reported on Tuesday.
BOM Brabant Ventures and Bonsai Partners also participated in the round, which included debt financing supplied by Rabobank.
SendCloud has created a cloud platform that allows online merchants to connect to dozens of logistics providers and identify which is most convenient for individual deliveries. It is present in eight European countries and will use the cash to hire a further 200 staff members.
Bonsai Partners, BOM Brabant Ventures and HenQ provided a multimillion euro amount (€1m = $1.1m at contemporary rates) for the company in October 2019, having joined Tiin Capital in a $6m round two years earlier.
Media company Sanoma had provided an undisclosed amount for SendCloud through subsidiary SanomaVentures in 2015, before the company added $2.2m from Tiin Capital and Brabant Development Agency the following year.
