UK-headquartered advanced salary payment service Hastee has purchased Typs, a Spain-based peer backed by financial services firm Banco Sabadell, for an undisclosed amount, Capital-Riesgo reported yesterday.
Typs has developed an online platform that enables users to access their impending earnings in advance and make up the difference with their employer on payday. It was incubated by Nuclio, a venture builder run by Banco Sabadell and Catalonian government-owned financial institution Institut Català de Finances (ICF), in 2019.
Banco Sabadell’s BStartup unit led a $680,000 funding round for Typs in June 2019 and was joined by venture capital firm Encomenda Smart Capital and ICF.
Jaime Jiménez, CEO and co-founder of Typs, said: “Thanks to our merger with Hastee, our customers will be able to count on an even wider range of financial welfare services they can implement on a multinational scale with a single point of contact, making us the strongest and the only truly global partner in this sector.” (Translated from Spanish by Global Corporate Venturing)
