GoSecure, a US-based cybersecurity technology producer backed by corporates SAP, Bank of Montreal, Singapore Telecommunications (Singtel), NTT Docomo and Siemens, has completed a $35m series E round.
The round was led by W Investment Group and included SAP National Security, a subsidiary of enterprise software provider SAP, as well as financial services firm Bank of Montreal and Razor’s Edge Ventures.
Founded in 2004 as NeurallQ and later known as CounterTack, GoSecure markets a managed detection and response-based cybersecurity software platform.
NTT Docomo Ventures, the investment arm of mobile network operator NTT Docomo, invested an undisclosed amount in the company in November 2017, six months after a $20m series D round co-led by SAP/NS2 and Singtel’s investment arm, Singtel Innov8, that took its total funding to $84m.
GoSecure had raised $10m from Siemens Venture Partners – on behalf of industrial product maker Siemens – defence technology producer ManTech, telecoms equipment provider Alcatel-Lucent, conglomerate Mitsui, Razor’s Edge, TenEleven Ventures, Goldman Sachs, EDBI and Fairhaven Capital Partners in 2016.
The company had already closed a 2015 series C round featuring Alcatel-Lucent, Mitsui, Siemens Venture Partners, Goldman Sachs, TenEleven Ventures and OnPoint Technologies, an investment vehicle for the US Army, at $17.9m according to a securities filing.
Siemens Venture Capital, Goldman Sachs, Fairhaven Capital, Razor’s Edge and OnPoint were all among GoSecure’s earlier backers.
