Industrial and real estate company HuaXiang Group has made a $2.5m investment in Jerusalem-based start up 3GSolar Photovoltaics. 3GSolar provides an alternative to traditional photovoltaic modules, such as thin film and crystalline silicon. This is HuaXiang’s first investment in Israel. Other investors in 3GSolar include Israel Electric Corporation (IEC), the largest provider of electricity in Israel and private equity firm Smedvig Capital, part of the Smedvig Group.
Joma International, a leader in highly engineered titania materials is a strategic partner of 3GSolar. Professors from Bar Ilan University and the Weizmann Institute of Science are academic partners.
