DelfMems raises $10.5m

DelfMems, a France-based developer of micro-electro-mechanical systems for applications in the radiofrequency (RF) communications, has raised €8.2m ($10.5m) in its series B round and hired Guillaume d’Eyssautier to be chief executive.

FSN PME, managed by state-backed CDC Entreprises, invested €3.5m of the money, with the remainder coming from multi-corporate venture capital firm Iris Capital, and VC peers Vives and Capitalaria and previous investors, A2D Invest, Alliansys, Finorpa, Inovam, Rhône-Alpes-Création, and business angels Nord, XMP-BA & IT @ngels.

In September 2010, DelfMems raised $1.9m

Olivier Millet, the company’s former chief executive officer and founder, will remain on the board and will take the role of chief strategy and marketing officer of DelfMems. D’Eyssautier was previously chief executive of Add Semiconductor, which he sold to Atmel in October 2011, and CEO of PicoChip, sold to Mindspeed.
