Saltmine digs up $20m

US-based workspace optimisation platform provider Saltmine has raised $20m in a series A round featuring real estate manager JLL’s corporate venturing arm, JLL Spark.

The round included venture capital firms Jungle Ventures and Xplorer Capital. Both were identified as returning backers, though the company has not disclosed details of its earlier funding.

Saltmine provides software that uses data technology to help businesses improve office space design and enhance employees’ work experience. JLL has established a strategic partnership with the company to resell and distribute its products to its customers.

Yishai Lerner, co-CEO of JLL Spark and real estate technology unit JLL Technologies, said: “We strive to deliver innovative technology solutions to modernise legacy processes and address the biggest pain points in commercial real estate.

“Saltmine seamlessly aggregates workplace data from sensors and other services into actionable insights to help adapt to the changing office environment. We are thrilled to back and partner Saltmine as it continues on its journey to be the leading platform for workplace strategy, planning, design and management.”
