Australia-based human resources technology provider Employment Hero has closed a A$45m ($34.8m) series D round led by recruitment portal operator Seek.
Enterprise software provider Salesforce participated through its corporate venturing arm, Salesforce Ventures, and the round also included venture capital firms AirTree Ventures and OneVentures.
This investment is likely to be the deal reported by the Australian Financial Review late last month and has lifted the company’s valuation in excess of $193.4m, according to TechCrunch.
Employment Hero has built a cloud-based software platform that helps organisations with human resources areas including employee training, payroll, retention, remote work management and legal compliance.
The funding will go to global expansion, particularly Southeast Asian markets such as Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
Seek had already led a $16m series C round in mid-2019 for the company, investing alongside AirTree and OneVentures, the latter having joined Seek to co-lead a $6.1m series B round the year before, which was backed by AirTree and financial services group AMP.
AirTree, OneVentures and AMP New Ventures, a now-defunct corporate venturing vehicle for AMP, provided $3.2m in series A funding in 2016 that was secured across two tranches.
