Roambee raises over $18m

Roambee, a US-based supply chain technology provider backed by corporates Telkom Indonesia, Deutsche Telekom, Jebsen & Jessen and Telkomsel, closed a series B1 round yesterday sized above $18m.

The round was led by Reefknot Investments, a subsidiary of Singaporean state-owned investment firm Temasek, and boosted the company’s overall funding to at least $42.6m.

Founded in 2013, Roambee has built a software platform which combines sensor data monitoring, data analytics, alerts and automated response in order to help businesses effectively monitor their supply chain.

Anchor Group and Comcraft co-led a $15.2m series B round for the company in January 2020 that included industrial conglomerate Jebsen & Jessen, telecommunications firm Telkomsel, Intuitive Ventures and Anant Singhania.

Deutsche Telekom investment vehicle Deutsche Telekom Strategic Investments had supplied $3.1m for Roambee in 2017 through a $4.1m series B round. MDI Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of fellow telecoms firm Telkom Indonesia, added $2m the following year.
