US-based customer experience software provider ActiveCampaign secured $240m in series C financing yesterday from investors including Susquehanna Growth Equity (SGE), a subsidiary of quantitative trading firm Susquehanna International Group.
Hedge fund manager Tiger Global Management led the round, which also featured investment firm Dragoneer and growth equity firm Silversmith Capital Partners. It valued the company above $3bn.
ActiveCampaign has created a customer experience automation (CXA) platform with some 145,000 business users, who can use it to automate marketing and customer relationship management activities across email, social, messaging, text and chat channels.
The series C proceeds have been earmarked for product development, international growth and the expansion of its partner ecosystem initiatives.
Jason VandeBoom, ActiveCampaign’s founder and CEO, said: “I am excited to welcome Tiger Global and Dragoneer as investors, and want to thank SGE and Silversmith for their ongoing investment and support, as this funding will allow us to further lead the CXA category, critical for companies to reach their growth potential.”
SGE led the company’s $100m series B round in January 2020, investing together with Silversmith Capital Partners. It came after $20m in series A funding from Silversmith Capital in 2016.
