Soldsie, a US-based online retailer for social network Facebook, has raised $1m in its seed round from a consortium including venture capital firm E.Ventures.
Alongside E.Ventures, which was formerly known as Bertelsmann Ventures before the corporate venturing unit was spun out of the eponymous Germany-based media group, were VC firms 500 Startups and FundersClub and angel investors Yun-Fang Juan, Jonathan Ehrlich, Prosper Nwankpa, Elliot Loh and Tom Kelly.
In January, Soldsie said it had raised $425,000 from 72 investors through FundersClub, which itself has just collected $6m from First Round Capital, Felicis Ventures, Chris Dixon and Aaron Levie.
