AnyPerk, a Japan-based company providing discounts on web services and employee perks, has raised $1.4m in its series A round from a consortium including CyberAgent Ventures, the corporate ventuyring unit of the eponymous local games group.
There was also involvement from venture capital firm Digital Garage and angel investors Ben Lewis, a founder of applications developer Tapjoy and mobile gifting service Karma, Michael Liou, and Shogo Kawada, founder of online gaming group DeNA.
AnyPerk was launched out of US-based accelerator Y Combinator in 2012 after the founders moved from Japan.
