Blue Coat Systems, a US-based provider of online security, has agreed to acquire Solera Networks, a local provider of network security analytics, for an undisclosed amount.
Blue Coat is a portfolio company of private equity firm Thoma Bravo, while Solera has raised over $50m in funding from Intel Capital, the corporate venturing unit for semiconductor manufacturer Intel, and venture capital firms Allegis Capital, Signal Peak Ventures and Trident Capital.
Following a $20m series D round led by Intel last February, Solera had raised a total of $50.9m over four rounds since it was founded in 2005.
