T-Venture, the corporate venturiung unit of Deutsche Telekom, a Germany-based telecommunications company, has led a $13.6m round of funding into US and UK-based cloud computing technology company Numecent.
Aleksandar Mitrovic, senior vice-president for technology and platforms at Deutsche Telekom’s Product & Innovation division, said: “Numecent has a potentially game-changing new technology with a huge ‘wow’ factor. We are delighted to support them with this investment through our T-Venture subsidiary”.
This brings the total raised by the company to $15.2m following a $2m series A last year from venture capital firm Endeavour Ventures.
