InsightSquared, a US-based provider of analytics product for companies that is backed by service provider Salesforce, has raised $8m in its series B round.
Venture capital firm Draper Fisher Jurvetson led the round, and was joined by VC peer Atlas Venture.
In other news, Mixpanel, a US-based analytics platform for mobile and web, has raised $10m in its series A round from a consortium including angel investor Marc Benioff, Salesforce’s founder and chief executive.
Separately, Salesforce has agreed to buy New York-listed ExactTarget for $2.5bn, or $33.75 per share.
ExactTarget shareholders include venture capital firms Greenspring Associates (14.7%), Technology Crossover Ventures (12.32%) and Battery Ventures (6.51%) after raising $145m in venture capital before its flotation.
