US-based Maskless Lithography Inc (MLI), a manufacturer of advanced direct-write digital imaging technology to the printed circuit board (PCB) industry, has raised $7m in series D financing. In addition to the funding, Maskless has also signed a Business Collaboration and Distribution Agreement with Chime Ball Technology (CBT), a Taiwanese equipment supplier to the Asian PCB market.
The series D funds will be used for global expansion.
Wonder Chang, president and chief executive officer of CBT, said: “We are thrilled about the opportunity to address a large and growing market for advanced direct imaging systems through this partnership with MLI. CBT and MLI will collaborate to offer advanced direct imaging systems to CBT’s established Chinese PCB customer base and new customers.”
In 2009, MLI raised $1m in a venture round of funding.
